The Church of Saint Basil was built on the edge of the caldera, in the Perivolas district, at the entrance to Oia from Fira. The Water and Sewage Treatment Plant in Oia is located nearby. From around the church there are beautiful views of the entire Caldera.
A characteristic gate leads to the church courtyard – belfry.
