Katharos Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches located around Oia and the entire northwestern tip of the island of Santorini.

There is a car park by the beach where you can leave your car.

The road to the beach leads along a narrow path among the rocks and dunes covered with vegetation. Along the way is the Katharos Lounge Vegan Meze Bar serving drinks and vegan dishes.

The history of the place itself is quite interesting. There used to be a leprosy hospital here. Later, there was a harbor on the beach, and the incoming people were quarantined here so as not to spread diseases to the people of Oia.

The beach itself is undeveloped – there are no toilets, showers, or deckchairs rental. Only beautiful, breathtaking views can compensate for this fact. The beach long enough that even in the season everyone should find a place for themselves.

A perfect place for enthusiasts of diving and lovers of wild beaches, although it can be quite windy here.
