Perivolos is located on the south-eastern coast of Santorini and is situated between two other well-known beaches Perissa Beach and Agios Georgis. This area is very popular among tourists visiting the island. None of the aforementioned beaches have clearly defined borders, you can go for a long walk along the seashore and admire beautiful views of the coast.
Amenities
Right next to the beach, along the promenade, you will find numerous clubs and bars with refreshing, exotic drinks. There are also many tavernas and restaurants here. And for those who are hungry for physical activity, there are some sports opportunities in this area.
You won’t complain about the lack of sunbeds. They are privately owned by the local restaurants and bars along the beach. When using the catering services, there is no additional charge for the sun loungers.
Conditions
Perivolos is a sandy beach covered with dark volcanic sand that heats up quickly it the sun. That’s why tourists spend much of their time in swimming shoes or flip-flops here. The water is warm and turquoise, but gets deep quite quickly. We recommend caution.
How to get here
Due to the easy access and convenient descents, all three beaches along the south-eastern coast are recommended for families with small children and disabled people. The road from Fira can be covered in 20 minutes, it will take a little longer by public transport.
